KinderSmart is an attendance tracking solution designed for iPhones to assist parents in dropping off their children at childcare providers. The application seamlessly integrates with the Controltec KinderConnect backend system, a platform utilized by state and local government agencies to facilitate subsidized childcare operations.

The registration process involves scanning a QR code on the parent's iPhone to ensure verification within the KinderConnect host database. Upon arriving at the childcare facility, registered parents can further authenticate their presence by scanning a displayed QR code, effectively logging them into the system.

The ease of checking children in and out of care mirrors the traditional method of using pen-and-paper sign-in sheets, a familiar process for most parents.

 <li>Child Selection: After scanning the QR code at the childcare provider, the user is presented with a list of children assigned to their profile.</li>
 <li>Transaction: The user proceeds to check-in, check-out, or mark a child as absent by selecting the appropriate options on-screen. Following this, the user provides a signature and submits the record by tapping the 'Submit' button.</li>
 <li>Confirmation: The system promptly confirms the transaction details.</li>
</ol>

In summary, for experienced users, this process takes mere seconds and captures relevant authentication data such as user name, signature, transaction time and location, and attendance records for each child including transaction type and optional notes.
